The New York Production Guide (NYPG) is a spiral-bound film, commercial & video production directory, with over 15,000 listings of everything you would need to produce a commercial, film or video. NYPG is New York-based, but is national in scope, listing many production sources throughout the country. It is designed around the AICP Bid Form.
NYPG-Online represents a complete database of all the information relevant to the film, video & commercial industry. Like the New York Production Guide book, NYPG-Online is also based on the AICP Bid form, where applicable.
For over three decades, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) has focused exclusively on the needs and interests of commercial film & video production companies in the U.S. Today, the AICP represents over 85% of all domestic commercials produced for broadcast.
The AICP Bid Form is a 6-page worksheet organized around the various crew, sets, equipment, services and post-production needed for a shoot. Each numbered item on the Bid Form corresponds to a specific numbered section in NYPG. Using NYPG in conjunction with the AICP Bid Form saves the entire production crew time and money. There are three ways to search NYPG-Online:
- Type in a Keyword, Company or Individual in the Global Search
- Choose a Heading on the left and select a subcategory
- Enter a Company name or individual in the Company Search space
Are there other categories in addition to AICP categories?
Yes. Because NYPG serves so many other creative industries besides film, commercial & video production, additional categories relevant to TV, still photography, styling, props, display and, event planning, to name a few, are continually being added.
The NYPG directory is published annually with a new edition coming out each May. It costs $50 plus tax and shipping.
How often is NYPG-Online updated?
The NYPG-Online database is updated with additions, changes and deletions each month.
